The Sr. Systems & Support Analyst is responsible for creating a supportive technical environment that allows Inventory Management analysts to perform their jobs more effectively.   The Sr. Analyst focuses on streamlining, automating, stabilizing and supporting processes, and removing repetitive work from Inventory Management analysts, thereby increasing their productivity and effectiveness.

• Work with end users to define their needs and requirements, and translate them into actionable, repeatable processes and/or reports. Use understanding of available information and data to define the best solution for customers.
• Constant diligence to research, test and implement programmatic solutions that will enable automation of processes. Understand the technical tools available and learn about additional tools that may be helpful to the team. Work with team members to identify best candidates for enhancements. Must be able to create interactive user interface applications for a multi-user environment. Must be willing to dig into unfamiliar existing processes for issue resolution and/or enhancements.
• Monitor processes for successful, timely completion and accurate results. Monitor environment for space issues and IT-driven changes. Partner with IT on software changes and hardware upgrades. Must be willing to work some early mornings and occasional weekends due to new process implementation.
• Document team standard practices, helpful hints, best practices and create/maintain a library of examples and re-usable code, allowing for easier and consistent coding. Create documentation for processes that will contain the information required for execution by any team member as well as troubleshooting errors.
• Make oneself available for one on one coaching among the team as well as Inventory Management users. Keep a pulse on current projects and knowledge gaps in the team to create training sessions/documentation. Use real-life issues as training vehicles. Create helpful “cheat sheets” for useful tips and tricks for others to utilize.


(5) required skills and educations
• Must have a working knowledge of Supply Chain principles, practices and methods. The Sr. Analyst must be analytically inclined and have a passion for finding causal factors that constrain performance and profits. Prior experience with Logistics and Inventory Management is desired.
• Must exhibit personal behaviors consistent with SHC leadership principles. The Sr. Analyst must be viewed with credibility and trust by key executives across the organization; emphasis on accuracy, attention to detail, and an inquisitive mindset.
• Must have well-established technical and PC skills. This includes the ability to understand and effectively utilize software tools such as MS Access and MS Excel, and be able to write code in SQL and VBA. Must be familiar with client/server and database concepts. Must have experience accessing data in Teradata, MySQL, SQL Server or other RDBMS. Experience with Windows Scheduler and ODBC helpful. Must be comfortable with web tools to research solutions. Must be able to create a network of associates to help navigate the paths to technical resolution.
• Helpful (not required) experience in SHC applications: Sears and Kmart Teradata, Tableau, EIS, iPlan, Mainframe and Merchant Workbenches. Should have a good comfort level with Microsoft Word, Power Point, VIsio and Outlook.
• Must excel at communicating complex issues in simple to understand yet actionable ways. Must be proficient at communicating up, across and down.
• Must have a strong desire to learn about the business from as many sources as possible as well as teach others. This requires a willingness and interest in interacting with others from across the organization as needed. To this end, the Sr. Analyst is expected to internalize the Corporate Goals of SHC, systems capabilities of the company and existing methods and disciplines as defined in the policies and procedures of the company.
• Must possess analytical and financial literacy aimed at ensuring that our business intentions generate sustainable returns on investment for the SHC investor.
