Job Description
Windhaven has been one of the fastest growing auto insurers in the United States for the past two years. We’ve had such success because we’re not your typical insurance carrier. The Jr. Business System Analyst will report to the Director of Systems Projects. The selected candidate will have at least one year of experience as a business or systems analyst; strong written and verbal communication skills; and background in the SDLC, requirements gathering, development, UAT and documentation.
Principal Responsibilities
Acts as functional expert on internal systems including intimately understanding the functionality in the system, how to translate business requirements into system changes, and the impact of changes to previously implemented releases.
Identifies and documents system deficiencies and recommends solutions.
Work with cross functional teams to devise and drive out business approaches.
Process mapping and workflow creation
Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required
1-3 years of experience working as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst (preferred)
Experience with the software development life cycle
Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Visio, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Must have experience with UAT, Use Cases and overall testing.
Strong verbal and written communicator, able to speak with the business experts and understand the auto insurance domain.
Well organized and consistently delivers on commitments.
Able to work under tight timeframes and be able to multi-task effectively.
Knowledge of SQL queries.
Prior experience work as a BA in the Insurance industry is a plus.
Experience supporting Insurance Applications/Systems is a plus.
