This position is for both Development and IT Systems Analysis

Positions in this function are predominantly involved in analyzing and/or developing business solutions by modifying existing software applications. Primary contributor in analyzing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and supporting all types of applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver business value.

This position is located in Golden Valley, MN or Basking Ridge, NJ.

Primary Responsibilities:
* Present and evaluate design solutions objectively and facilitate conflict resolution.
* The person filling this role will work closely with the Business Analysts, System Analysts and Developers to identify and document system requirements and solutions for customer service applications.
* Evaluate business requirements and prepare detailed functional system specifications for customer service applications.
* Facilitate JAD sessions and act as the liaison between infrastructure and application teams.
* Present and evaluate design solutions objectively and facilitate conflict resolution.
* Plan and manage assignments of varying scope.
* Provide a broad business approach.
* Resource to senior leadership and to peers.
* Solves unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business.
* Translates highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences.
* Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed.
* Works with less structured, more complex issues.

Required Qualifications:
* BA or BS in Computer Science or 2-year (Associate's degree) in the same plus 2+ Years relevant work experience
* 2+ years prior (work) IT experience in a role such as: systems analysis, development, quality testing, release/project management or infrastructure services
* 3+ Years' experience in the above roles (or with education background) in Java technologies (java and j2ee-built applications)
* 1+ year experience using webservice technologies (or FLEX)
* 1+ year experience in ability to extract data from Oracle or SQL databases via moderate complex SQL queries for purposes of data analysis or reporting
* Previous experience in Hibernate and Spring Framework
* Ability to translate technical issues into clear business terms (and vice versa)
* Ability to (rotationally) support software applications off-hours for support 7x24x365

*Previous UnitedHealth Group experience
*Previous health care experience
*Previous work experience with offshore teams
*Previous work experience supporting production applications
*PEGA background
